The Marion County Family and Children First Council’s purpose is to help meet the needs of children who have multiple problems which cannot be served by one agency. The Council is made up of several agencies which function to coordinate services for families with multiple needs, identify and fill in service gaps, and use local resources as judiciously as possible.
Some of the agencies that serve on the Council are Marion County Children Services, Marion County Family Court, the local area school districts, Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Marion/Crawford Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services, Marion Public Health, the United Way of Marion County, and the Marion County Department of Job and Family Services.
